Body shop & accident repair disposal in Hampshire
Body shops in Hampshire fill up fast with uneconomical repairs, write-off shells and stripped donor cars. We clear them free, usually the same working day, at trade rates that improve with volume. Every vehicle gets a VAT purchase invoice, same-day DVLA notification and a Certificate of Destruction, keeping your duty-of-care paperwork clean.
- Total losses, Cat S and Cat N shells, donor cars, bare hulks
- Flat-bed and winch recovery for immobile or unrolling vehicles
- Damaged EV and hybrid handling under a dedicated HV procedure
- Multi-vehicle compound clearances at trade rates
- VAT invoices plus a Certificate of Destruction per vehicle
- Environment Agency licensed ATF — duty of care intact
What we take off repair centre sites
If an estimate crosses the economic-repair line, the car stops being a job and becomes storage. We take the whole spectrum: fresh accident damage, cars stripped for parts, shells left after a claim settled, and long-term residents nobody has moved in two years.
Condition doesn't stop the collection. Missing wheels, seized brakes, no keys, no glass, roof cut — send photos and we'll price it and bring the right kit.
Categories and what they mean for disposal
| Category | Meaning | Disposal route |
|---|---|---|
| Cat A | Scrap only, nothing salvageable | Must be crushed whole — CoD issued |
| Cat B | Body shell destroyed, parts reusable | Shell crushed, parts recovered at ATF |
| Cat S | Structural damage, repairable | Scrapped or sold on — your call |
| Cat N | Non-structural damage | Often worth more than pure scrap |
| Uncategorised | Uneconomical private repair | Standard ATF scrap route |
Cat A and Cat B vehicles must never re-enter the road network. We process both at a licensed ATF and the paperwork proves it.
Duty of care and depollution
As the site holding the vehicle, your duty of care doesn't end until it reaches an authorised facility. We're an Environment Agency licensed Authorised Treatment Facility, so the transfer is documented end to end: purchase invoice, DVLA notification, Certificate of Destruction.
Every vehicle is depolluted before dismantling — fuel, engine and gearbox oils, coolant, brake fluid, screenwash, refrigerant gas, airbag units and the battery are all removed and handled under the End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003.
