Why workshops end up storing dead cars

Every independent garage in Hampshire has the same problem: an MOT failure the customer never collects, a head-gasket job that stops being economical halfway through, or a part-exchange that will never sell. Each one occupies a bay or a parking space that should be earning.

We deal with that specific problem. One phone call with the reg, and the car is off your site — no haggling on the day, no last-minute price drops, no waiting a week for the money.

If you clear more than a couple of vehicles a month, the trade account is worth setting up — it removes the quoting round-trip entirely.

Abandoned customer vehicles — getting it right

A car left on your premises isn't automatically yours to dispose of. Before we collect an abandoned job we ask you to show the steps you've taken: written notice to the registered keeper at their V5C address, a clear deadline, and a reasonable period elapsed. Keep copies of everything.

Once that's in order, we buy the vehicle from you as the disposing party, notify DVLA, and the Certificate of Destruction closes the file. If you're unsure where you stand, call us before you commit to anything — we'd rather advise than unpick it later.

Covering the whole county

We collect from workshops in Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Havant, Eastleigh, Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Hook, Yateley and every industrial estate in between — plus the Isle of Wight.

Body shops and accident repair centres have their own version of this problem; there's a dedicated page for that below.
